I have 05 Phaeton on the Freightliner chassis; can anyone tell me where the Vacuum Pump is located? The pump is intermittent and at times runs continual? Is this a chassis issue or body MFG problem? Any help or direction would be appreciated.
Thanks,

My pump is located on the out side fire wall next to the window washer tank in front of the driver seat. My pump also runs like you are talking about. Pull the vacuum line where it goes in to the fire wall. Put your finger on it and see if it will stop. If not, work you way closer to the pump. This will tell you if you have a leak where it is easy to get to. Remember the vacuum is connected to allot of stuff, cruise control, heater and AC for an example, so it does it a good work out.

Mine is also on the outside front firewall, not far from the round vacuum storage tank.

Check the short vacumn connector hoses located on the outside front firewall for a split. Just went through that with my 2009 Itasca Latitude 37G. Mine were the ones located close to the vacumn chamber center of outside firewall.
