Mine is an XC.

If you go to accessfreightliner.com and get a login ID everything about your chassis by vin is up there including manuals and part numbers.

I tried that. I get three choices when clicking new user and a couple of them gave me web errors and bombed out.

If I posted my VIN, would you check and post for me?

I am not sure I can get in with your Vin number but I can try. I tried it years ago with a friends VIN and it didn't work since the ID is associated with the VIN number.

The freightliner site is very outdated. I operated with older IE's and refrained from installing new editions of IE just for this site. But for security reasons I finally just recently updated my W7 32bit portable to IE11. As I feared accessfreightliner did not work. I also bought a W8 64 bit home machine and it would not work either.

Called the help desk and they said older browsers only.

But the info was incorrect because I have IE11 working at the site on both computers now. I notified the help desk of my discovery and they will soon change there documentation for setup.

My opinion is it is worth the pain to set this up but you have to have some patience. Feel free to contact me if you want. Contact by PM and I will give you my phone number.

FIRST get an ID.

Call the helpdesk at 855-639-8680 with your info. (very nice people to talk to) Last 6 of your vin is needed.

or

email at dealer.helpdesk@daimler.com

Next IE has to be set up. Will attach latest instructions.

In addition to attached instructions do the following:

Click Tools, Compatibility View Settings, and "add" accessfreightliner.com and freightliner.com

this will let IE11 operate as an older browser.

If you need help after you get your ID and PW just give me a call and I will walk you through it.

Wow, they sure are in the stone age. Seems some of these companies have their main server under the IT/parts guy's desk using Windows 95.

I'll see if I can make any headway and post.

The site is quite elaborate and I think before long they will update it but I guess companies like this can't afford to reprogram a site everytime MS decides to upgrade their browser.

I am thankful the Freightliner still keeps the site working because everything about the basic chassis is up there. It is worth the patience.

Besides, compatibility mode, for the site is ok by me. As long as I can get the info, I am happy.

Good luck.
