Hello to all. I have a fleetwood expedition 38N 300Cat/all, tranny 2005. I will have 3 to 4 week periods of time this winter that I will not be using my RV. I have about 3/4 tank it it today. I have heard of putting something to keep algee from growing and also heard of putting something else in for water treatment in the diesel. What is best to do. Is there anything else I need to do for the diesel or generator. I will be keeping the heat on and addressing that even though it isn't too bad here in Mississippi. Tks for the help...Oh also how much of the adder to I put in the tank?? tks glen

We use a product called Opti-Lube. You can check them out at www.opti-lube.com. Good product like opinions you'll be getting. Take your choice.

Just my opinion but if you are only going a month or so between trips that require you to refuel along the way I doubt you need a fuel treatment but you should keep the diesel tank full.

If its only a month, fill the tank before storing and don't worry about it.

An anti-algae is a good ad-in for a warmer , moist climate where the algae thrives in fuel that gets contaminated with water (condesnation). That's why keeping the tank full is a plus.

I use Biobor as an anti-algae when my rig sits unused for around 3-4 months in the winter (north central Florida). Follow the directions on the label - a few ounces treats a tankful.

BIOBOR Biobor Jf 16 oz. Microbicide at West Marine
