I have a 2006 National Tradewinds on a freightliner chassis. My windshield washer pump has no power to it. I hooked up a 12v battery to the terminals on the pump and then it works fine. Can't find a fuse for it and have checked the smartwheel terminal box and all wires are hooked up and making good contact. Wiper control switch is on the Smartwheel steering wheel. Any suggestions?

I don't have any experience with the "smart wheel " have you tried "access Freightliner " or their help line. Not sure if they supply the wheel or not.

for now maybe a push button from NAPA.

rkirtz, on thinking overnight, a question, did you check the wiring at the pump for continuity to ground ? If one of the wires is a ground then the Smart wheel control box supplies power to the pump. If no ground re-test for ground with someone holding the switch; if you get ground now, then you have a bad fuse/wire/power supply, somewhere in the system; because the Smart wheel box may only supply ground to activate the pump.
