Winnebago Journey radiator
Well I,m really new to the diesel world and got a question.
Its a 2000 model, when looking at the back end of the MH, there is a radiator on the left side with two fans. When I look inside the rear cowl, the appears to be a rear facing coil. What gives, is the rear facing one the chassis AC coil?
Just got the DP a few days ago and the manuals leave a lot to be desired.

The side things are the , basement air condensors ;; The engine rad; is in the rear ; only fan is the one on the engine.. Oh get down under the back of the coach And make sure the engine breather extends out the rear of the coach.. Don't listen to that Crap that it need not extend to the back of the coach. I listened to some blabber mouth that told me it could stop near the bottom of the rad. ;;; the turbelance sucked the oil mist into the percooler and rad; and $3500.00 later I wished I would have brought it out the rear of the coach;; It is there now; It also dispersces the oil mist better to keep it off the tow car;; Life is good.

Wizard,
The one on the left w/two fans is the a/c coil for the front-inside dash a/c. The rear coil is your radiator coil for the engine, and the cold air charge radiator is in front of it.
You can get more information from Freightliner about your chassis by joining the Freightliner Custom Chassis Club.

The one in the rear is for your engine. Drivers side is for dash air conditioner. Passenger side is your basement air if your year coach had it.

Indiana Journey,
About the Freightliner Custom Chassis Club,
I read that you must be a member of FMCA and pay for membership, is that correct?

The FCOC is a chapter of FMCA so you would join and pay dues to each. It provides a 10% discount on parts at FCCC facilities so there is chance to recoup some of that money.
I highly recommend the Camp Freightliner training class offered at their factory in Gaffney, SC if you can get there. It is a detailed two day training session on the components of your chassis and their proper maintenance. I found it worth the money and it was done in a way that the attending wives enjoyed it.

Wizard,
The FCCC is a Freightliner Club and is one of the FMCA Clubs. I'm not sure how much it costs to join. I think you get a discount on Freightliner parts. The information is on the Freightliner website.
If you aren't a member of FMCA you should also get on their website and consider joining. It is one of the top motorhome clubs that has a lot of very good things for owners and their families.
Good Luck, Indiana Journey

That's not too unusual. You have to be a member of FMCA to participate with any of the International Chapters. The Workhorse Club for example is another club that requires FMCA membership. There are many others.
Being an FMCA Member in the International Chapters offers all the benefits of being a Family Member yet just belong to an International Chapter and not a specific FMCA local chapter.
The FMCA INTO Rally is specifically for the International Chapters.
