I am working through the ordering process now with Cole for a new Majestic now. We are going to the factory next Wed to finish up that process. We are stretching a 37 to a 38. Unloaded weight for this unit will be 20700. I am assuming loaded weight will be approx 24,000. A triple axle will have 20% on the pin making the pin weight 4,800. The unit will have washer dryer and dishwasher but no generator. We are ordering with 4 - 6 volt batteries.

Was considering F450 but we would be over on carrying capacity since we are going to go with a hauler bed. At this point I am planning to go with a Ram 5500 with hauler bed. I just would sleep better if I am not over on my pin weight.

The new Summit 37 Island Kitchen that is heading to the Hershey, PA RV Show today got weighted yesterday morning. It came in:

Unloaded Vehicle Weight (UVW) = 15,820
Weight on Axles = 12,630
Hitch Weight = 3,190 (20.1%)
Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) = 16,000
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) = 20,000
Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC) = 3,170 (After full water & LP)

As you can see, the newly redesigned Summit is over 3,600# lighter than the average of all New Horizons 37' units we've built in the last 2 years (19,453#)

And no sacrifice to quality.

Thanks,
Bryan
