Bedroom slide out

I arrived here in Spearfish, SD 2 days ago. While looking for the CG I noticed in my mirror that the bed room slide out was out about 6". My next left hand turn I made hard and put it back in. I drove very gently to the CG. My slide mechanism would not move the slide. I moved it out manually to raise the mattress to access the mechanism. Grunt Groan Cuss / Grunt Groan Cuss etc. I found the lag bolts that attached the mechanism to the floor had stripped out of the flimsey floor and the mechanism was sliding around as it is not intended to do.

I bought new longer lags (4") and installed them in new holes an inch away from the old ones. While probing the old holes I found there was something beyond the reach of the 2" original lags. I used longer lags to catch whatever was below the originals. I hope that will do the job. The originals lasted 5 years.

Check yours to be sure they are still tight.
