Decoding New Horizons Serial Nos.

I have a 1995 New Horizons 28-ft fifth wheel with serial no. 95H 0895 W28 RKS0229. Anyone know how the number sequences break out. The "95" and the "28" seem obvious but what else is in there? Thanks.

This is partly a guess, and someone might know more, but I think the 0895 means the unit was finished in August 1995; the RKSO229 means it has a rear kitchen, one slideout and was #229 produced. Is that consistent with what you have (the rear kitchen, one slideout?)

Margaret

Thanks Margaret, you're probably right on; ours is a rear kitchen - 1 slide unit. Everything else matches too so far as I know.

I wonder, is the "229" the 229th fifth wheel or New Horizons' 229th unit total mfgd?

Thanks for pointing out the VIN code post for me Lloyd, I'll check that too.

Best, John & Laura
