I agree!!!

Okay. Lloyd will speak up....

Stickies are not needed. The latest posts to the NHOG thread are at the top just after the stickies. A post with a New Horizons question or "postcard" from the road will be at the top. For those who check the forum with some regularity, they will see the posts. There are far more who check out the forum far less frequently. Perhaps they really don't care.

Having a "stickie" category is not going to encourage people to post. That was the experience at the previous location for the NHOG forum where there were categories to encourage that type of posting. Seems I was the rare poster of "NH sightings" and postcards from the road. From an unscientific observation, it appears the activity at iRV2 is about the same that was seen at the previous location for the forum.

The reason for a "stickie" is to keep it at the top of the forum list for those infrequent or new visitors. In addition, to make a "stickie" thread requires it to be set by a moderator/administrator. In about a month or sooner, I will request the administrators to remove the stickie tag for this thread. Additionally, those stickie informational threads are usually closed for posts/replies.

Note: When I migrated the NHOG Forum to a sub-forum at iRV2, I declined to be a moderator/administrator. It was time for me to step back and be an individual contributor.

Lloyd
It is easier to be a contributor than a moderator, I just wish more would contribute, it's easier to maintainn diologue.

rvham,
Way to go. Two NH in one family.
As a past member of the Northtrail talk forum. When it was shut down Jan 1 /2011. Mark left a notice of date shut down 1 month earlier, he started a FB page for the members that wanted to keep in touch. Out of 400+ only 14 came to our facebook page. I though there would be more come over as we had a family feel to NTT forum as it was 3 yrs old forum. But they never did, also thought a lot would still post on the heartland owners site(they make the North trails)but no. So bottom line is, IF they want to keep in touch they will or they will move on to another site( as I did to here) or none at all.
