Keeping cabinet doors and drawers closed

When I hit a severe bump the canned goods in my pantry cabinet leave the shelves and press open the door. The pantry is behind the retracted slideout. It was a real pain to get my arm in the small space to gather the cans up and get the door shut before extending the slide.

While rooting through the bin I keep trailer stuff in, I found one of the T handle storage compartment door latches. The light bulb lit up over my head! It is now a positive manual latch on my pantry door and I will never have the problem again. I had to bend the bar that, does the catching on the inside, to fit but two adjustable wrenches took care of that. It is chrome and matches my stainless steel cabinet door handles, almost.

Now I need to get another one to fix the problem drawer.
