Key West

Greetings from Key West!
Vern Thompson is also here, and it seems we agree this is a fine little city. We're both camped in the boondocking area on the Coast Guard Station, and altho' I just arrived here yesterday, it seems to be a warm and close-knit group of folks here, and I'm looking forward to the Christmas dinner - $3.00, turkey and ham provided, we bring supporting side dishes, salads and/or desert. Can't complain about that.
I've already located the Post Office, and have discovered that UPS and FedEx deliver right to our site. Something like $12/day. Not quite free, but we have Key West as a bonus.

Opposite direction

Sounds nice and warm.
Sharon and I have gone in the other direction, spending our Christmas holiday in Cincinnati Ohio with our son and his wife. We left 80 degree weather in Jacksonville to arrive at 6 degree weather one night. It is good that this is a trip without the trailer because I'm sure it would be frozen solid with this weather.

We have the possibility of seeing a white Christmas. But then, if you were in Key West you might have a white Christmas as well. I can guarantee you that I will not be wiggling my toes in the white stuff!

Glad we are not in Ohio, or Washington for that matter. We are still here in Kerrville, TX (homesteading). We are planning on going to Rockport on 14 Jan if our furnace is fixed by that time. Sure glad we carried the space heaters. We had a 17 degree night, but Christmas day was very nice about 69 deg. We had pot luck here with about 50 people.
