Lightbourn's bicycle across US

While the rest of us were pulling our rigs across country, John and Linda Lightbourn parked their New Horizons trailer. Then then spent the summer of 2007 pedaling bicycles from Bellingham, Washington to Bar Harbor, Maine.

The whole story can be read in Linda's journal of the travel including photos along the way.

I just finished reading all 119 pages. What a great adventure! Very impressive journal and the pictures are great. John, I saw no mention of any golf other then in the one picture a mini-golf course. No room on the bike for a set of clubs? Geez, you took everything else. Congratulations on the completion of your trip.

Biking and Golf

We not only didn't take our clubs on the bike tour but we no longer carry them with us ever! For the past 3 years they have sat in John's sister's garage in Hastings, MN. John decided it just wasn't that much fun for him which meant it definitely wasn't fun for me. We get along much better on our bikes.
