I thought that it might be interesting to share whenever we run across other NH owners when we are out on the road. We are so pleased to be with Jan and Jim Leigh who are visiting in Jacksonville, FL. We joined them at Hanna Park (a city owned Campground located at the beach). Much to our surprise and great pleasure we were joined by Linda and Jim Karl (from New York). The Karls escaped the snow of New York to bring their motorcycle to "warm?" Florida for the winter. They have a toyhauler. We have had a very pleasant meal and had a chance to connect in a way that I believe is unique because of the bond of ownership that is created with those of us with NH trailers.

Great idea, Jim, as we well know after spending a few days with you last September as you traveled through Maine.

In 2007 as new NH owners traveling through the southwest, we landed in Cottonwood Campground in Canyon de Chelly at the same time as Bill Garmire and Jan and Cathy Emrick. After meeting them and others at the factory in Junction City we realized that we are rather privileged to belong to such a nice group of people.

Monday afternoon was a wonderful reunion of NH pals (Emerson, Williams and Leigh). This gathering took place somewhere southwest of Orlando near all of the Disney stuff. The poster behind us on the wall says it all! It is really great when folk from the NH family can get together.

Wish we'd known you were in our area. We're at Sherwood Forest in Kissimmee, so if you are back around here, please let us know. We'd love to see you again and enjoyed meeting you at Cherry Hill last fall.

This past week (March 6-11) was like going to a double-header ballgame. On Monday we saw Mary and Jim Howell who winter in Winter Haven, FL. And then on Tuesday we were able to be with Dale and Marnin Lack and Judy and Bob Emerson who both winter along the SR 192 corridor just outside of Orlando FL. What a joy to be with New Horizons friends. (Sorry but there were no pictures of this gathering)

After taking delivery of the new rig we motored down to Mission, TX. We are staying at Bentsen Palm resort. I spotted one more NH here and there are 3 parked next door at Retama.

Heading back to the factory in May.

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day in Jacksonville, FL made even more lovely with a visit from Cathy and Jan Emerick who went to church with us. We followed that up with a nice cook-out at a neighbors house. So good to catch up with NHOG friends. While we were together the Emericks left us with their registration to the 2011 NHOG Rally to be held in Florida in late October. They are headed up the eastern seaboard gathering in lighthouses and national parks and historic sites. Their ultimate summer destination seems to be a good long time in PEI.
