My initial premise that there was 'some' wiggle was that in the past factory-direct pricing was offered that allowed plenty of well-deserved profit margin, so there was no real negotiation at all. The new CEO came from Peterson who made the Excel line (well regarded rigs). I'm making an assumption (might not be valid) that the new model is to offer true MSRP pricing and allow standard negotiating to determine what profit margin per individual sale that NH was willing to accept/give up.
