Has anyone else had problems with pooling of water on the roof of the slide out causing leaks inside? We never had a problem with our 2006 Classic, but this one is a different story. We had no problems last year, but the gasket had to be replaced since water had gotten is and rusted out the clips that keep it on. When closing the unit one day, the gasket started pulling off. NH sent a new one which we had installed this spring. Yesterday we gat back after a heavy rainstorm here in Maine to a soaked rug and sofa end. Water was dripping down between the two facial trim boards right in the middle of the slide out. Only solution was to to tip the front up to drain the slide. We have had to do this anytime we have had rain to make sure that the water does not drain inside as the slides are put in preparation for moving. Again this was never a problem with the 2006 but NH has changed the design of the slide outs some.

I would call Ken and tell him about your newest problem. If you are within 2 years of purchase you are covered to have this repaired.
We are waiting for a new window to come in as the one we have leaks. Solution in the meantime - duct tape!
Hope the problem is an easy fix.

We did talk to Ken today and he suggested leak in the caulking of the inside gasket of the slide out. Once we inspect and recaulk, we will see what happens during the next heavy rain - at least several days away according the the weathermen.

Sorry I didn't get a reply posted sooner. We are currently at NH having other items addressed before heading this week to Florida and the NHOG Rally. The slide out leak fortunately was a simple fix. There was a break in the caulking on the back of the interior lip of the slide out that was fixed when recaulked. It really pays to regularly inspect all caulking for small breaks.

We've found that slide outs=leaks. We now have no carpet nearly throughout the trailer, with a few throw rugs. We added a slide out topper, and that helped a lot.

We had water in the living room slide on our MH. The slide topper, which we thought was frayed along its front edge, had actually rotted away altogether. In addition, the blade seal that runs along the top edge of the hole through which the slide moves had rolled back on itself for about 3".

Got the topper replaced and the seal straightened out. I put some dry lube on the top surface of the slide roof so the seal wouldn't drag as badly. Unfortunately, we got a mold infestation in the overhead cabinets, so I removed them and built a replacement set.

I'll be putting dry-lube on the top and bottom horizontal surfaces of both slides before we start the new season. Both slides on our rig have toppers and they're both new last year.
