Winter help with fresh water system

We unfortunately decided to stay in Ohio this November, and of course this is the coldest November on record!
Our question - fresh water intake freezes below 25 degrees. Can not fill fresh water tank or get fresh water when connected to outside source. So even though water system works well with fresh water tank and pump, sooner or later (usually sooner) we need to refill tank. Not sure what's freezing - hose on water reel, or intake manifold. Both located in heated basement and shouldn't freeze. Any suggestions on how to heat and/or insulate water intake so we could fill fresh water tank below 25 degrees?

After filling our water tank, we disconnect the water line, stretch it out as much as possible to empty water in the line, then keep it reeled inside the basement until we need it next. Another way would be to always leave the water running at a trickle, but that will soon fill your gray tank. A hair dryer works pretty good at warming up the hose line. Good Luck!

If the park you are at a park where the pedestal is heated, you can buy a heated water hose, they come in different lengths, and leave it hooked up, or like Music Rocks said, you can hook it up when you need it and store it in the basement where it is warm.
