Jensen Incommand
Wanting to know if anyone has had an issue with the DC not connecting to the BCM.
Been in camper several days and now the DC won't connect to the BCM. All systems are running but I cannot connect to control and functions.
Any insight would help to trouble shoot.

Hi Cedarpup1,
I represent ASA Electronics, the producer of the JENSEN brand of televisions, stereos, and speakers, Voyager brand of observation monitors and cameras, the Advent brand of appliances and the new JENSEN In-Command RV control system. At ASA, we strive to provide excellent customer service and product satisfaction.
The first thing to do is to perform a shut-down procedure on the DC. You need to press and hold the Power button until prompted to shut-down. If you press the Power button only briefly, this will turn the screen Off, but the DC is still running in a Standby state. Once powered down, turn back ON and re-test.
If the DC power cycle didn’t reconnect communications, the next step will be to open the BCM and press the reset button. Re-test for communication with the DC.
If neither of these have worked, please give us a call and we can walk you through some more in-depth procedures in the service menu. Our technicians can be reached on our toll free technical support line at (877) 845-8750. We are available M-F 8:00 AM till 6:00 PM EDT.

After hours of trial and error to get bcm connected I finally took the BCM fuse out for a few minutes and then reinserted it and finally everything started working fully and properly!!! Hope this works for you !

Interested in how much power this system uses. We found a Keystone model we like and they now all seem to be coming with Incommand.
We boondock a lot and really don't want something drawing power if I don't need it.

Was hoping JENSENRVdirect might be able to answer this.
Also is there a way to bypass this system when you have issues?

Hi RaganOutdoor,
The JRVCS1 iN-Command system current draw will vary depending on active triggers/functions in use. Typically, you should see about 1A nominal draw between the Body Control Module (BCM) and Display Commander (DC) when they are idle. The maximum rated current draw is 8.5A for the BCM and 1.5A for the DC.
One of the key features of our iN-Command system is that we have manual override controls for the electric slide-outs, awnings and jacks directly on the BCM. This will allow you to close up and get on the road to your dealer in the event of any needed service work.
Please feel free to call us if you have any questions. Our technicians can be reached on our toll free technical support line at (877) 845-8750. We are available M-F 8:00 AM till 6:00 PM EDT.

The BCM will be fused at the main fuse panel for the RV.
To reset the BCM, you can press the reset button on the BCM; flip the main breaker off/on; or remove/replace the fuse.
