Hi there tnrver, DW and I have been looking at this same model for quite some time and found it fits our travel plan well. We've been seasonals for 17 yrs. at a TERIFFIC CG here in Mich. It's called River Valley RV Park just about mid-state in the lower penninsula. We're giving up our '11 Silverback 29RL for the Cougar, MAJOR DOWNSIZE!! We've decided to travel and the 21rbs will work well. We will follow your post and contribute when we can with any info we gather. How soon do you plan to pull the trigger on it? We have ours up for sale with lot, golf cart, deck, the whole 9 yards. If it goes before the end of the season it's buy time! If not, it's "Let's Make a Deal" time. As I told one of the local dealers already, "I'd drive to California for the right deal cuz I can camp all the way back. So give me your best deal." He got REAL quiet! lol! Looking forward to following your post! Best of Luck!

We picked up a new 21 RBS on 8 July, in Danville Va. We live in fla, and drove up with our trade. We ordered the theater seat.
I am impressed with fit & finish, as well as quality of components. The King bed & the recliners are perfect for us.
We pull it with a GMC half ton 9400lb tow rating, with a hensley hitch, it tows beautifully in wind & rain, semis don't buffet it around. We average 12+ mpg at 62 to 65 mph....70mph is no sweat, but mpg drops.

So, I am pleased, wife loves the kitchen, bathroom is roomy, AC is good, quality is fine.

Good luck with your choice

The cougar 31sqb is on our short list. That dang king bed just gets bonus points. I like the walk on roof and slides and it has a lot of other features that make it stand out. We are also looking at a coachmen freedom express and a grand design. Look forward to following this thread.

The king bed & the reclining theater couch, then the nice kitchen with plenty of countertop cinched us.

the 21rbs is the only 25+ footer out there with recliners, really comfortable for 2 folks. We have limited parking at our home, and, we can tow with a 1/2 ton, to about any state park campsite

cheapest price I found anywhere was a Lakeshore RV , in Michigan.

we bought at Danville Va, for about $500 more. Our home is in Fla, so the extra price made sense to us.

Have to say, the folks in Danville were fantastic to deal with. No surprises, no lies

tnrver...morning. Which did you get?
Although we do not have the Xlite 21rbs we do have the Xlite 26sab. Used it now for pertnear 4 years and love it, Other than routine maintenance and a few minor repairs associated with it vibrating as it goes down the road, no major problems so far that it had to go to the dealer or to the shop to be repaired. Enjoy which ever one you buy.

Hi Campnfool, so far we've decided to keep our KZ, mainly because it's filling our needs and its been trouble free since we've owned it.

We are going on 2 years with our Cougar XLite 28sgs. So far we love it. A couple warrenty issues as in most new rvs, but Keystone covered them all. As you said, fit and finish is much better than a lot we looked at. And we looked at A Lot, new and used.
