Keystone taking over Dutchmen?

Does anyone know if Keystone has taken over the helm of Dutchmen?

Someone has noted it from RV News. I haven't been able to find it.

I for one, am hoping this is true. To this point, I felt that the people that work for Dutchmen didn't have the best attitudes.

Hope someone knows.

I think the story would have read something like "Thor RV Industries to acquire Dutchmen and Keystone"

See Thor's list of RV brands here:
Recreational Vehicles - Thor Industries, Inc.
...which includes Airsteam!

Leading up to and during the recession, Thor was buying.

Thor has kept many of the RV brand names after acquisition, and dumped others.

Dutchmen was one of the company names retained and it represents 11 other brands from Aerolite, Coleman, and Infinity, to Voltage Toy Haulers.
See the top bar here: Dutchmen RV - Manufacturer of Quality Travel Trailers and Ultra Lites - Dutchmen RV

The Keystone brand was also retained and represents 23 brands from Sprinter and Cougar, to Fuzion Toy Haulers.
See the "Select Brands" banner here: Keystone RV

Thor is a HUGE company...they make buses, airport shuttle vans, and handicapped passenger vehicles too - see:
Commercial Vehicles - Thor Industries, Inc.

Damon (my RV's original brand) was acquired by Thor too, but the name was dumped. It is now TMC (Thor Motor Coach). This re-branding has not caused me any issues. The company is stronger than ever, I can call customer service for info or literature, and can get serviced at any of Thor's authorized dealers.

I would rather have an RV with a brand that was acquired than one that totally went out of business...but that is just me.

Hope this helps
