Newbie With Questions
Hi Folks!
Thanks for taking a look and the time to answer, if able. My wife and I are considering a Keystone Cougar Half-Ton 29BHS for our first travel trailer. We wanted something the whole family would fit in (including a grandparent or two on occasion) and that my wife would be comfortable 'glamping' in without breaking the bank.
Two questions
1) Does anyone know what the difference is between the 29BHS and the 29BHSWE? I haven't broken out the Excel yet to compare notes but from reading in general I can't see anything particular. I did notice some don't seem to have the swing-out bunk ladder but that hasn't struck me as a difference between the two, just an overall oddity on a few.
2) Does the 'theater' sofa option fold out to sleep on? I think I've seen the center cup holder thing is removable on some but don't know about these. Any big difference between that and the tri-fold aside from a cup holder?

Don't know about 'theater seating' option
BUT
29BHSWE is sold in 'WEST Region'
29BHS is sold in 'EAST Region'

Thanks! Most of the dealers out here seem to use them interchangeably, whether or not they have the West sticker, so wasn't sure. I won't worry about it much then.

Welcome to the forum!
All the theater seating I have seen, does not convert to sleeping. Usually the have the flip up leg rest instead.

Thanks! That might work but odds are we'd probably stick with the regular one then.

The theater seats will lay back fairly flat, and could work for sleeping in a pinch if you don't mind spending the whole night on your back. How many kids are you looking at having with you? Just wondering because I can't see grandparents trying to crawl up into the bunkbeds in a bunkhouse very easily. My wife's parents often tag along with us on trips, but they rent a cabin or stay in one of the park models most campgrounds have available.

Thanks for the feedback. From the sounds of it we'd prefer the trifold.
We have 3 kids: 15, 5, & 3. The 15 year old would be on the top bunk, 5 year old on the bottom, 3 year old in one with someone else (it changes). My mother-in-law is smaller and might actually do alright on the lower bunk. If my folks were with us we'd probably let them use the main bed. Aside from that my mother-in-law would probably use the tri-fold or the dinette bed option. The grandparents likely wouldn't be with us on a longer trip, so likely only looking at a night or two of that scenario. We've all had to make less work.
As the little ones get older it'd be re-addressed. But I remember camping in a pop-up with two slide out 'full' beds with a family of five so by comparison this is huge.
