We really wish we could make this one. If Tom's health holds up we plan on being there the end of April to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary on the 29th. He can't drive and I won't tow so a friend will take the rv down for us and I'll follow in the car. We hope some we know will be in the area then. Y'all have fun!

Meals

Anyone give any thought to meals for the April campout at Ocean Lakes?
My guess a potluck and Friday and dinner out on Saturday. Any thoughts?

Colleen,

Sounds fine with us too. Should we let you know what we are bringing for the Friday evening meal so that we don't end up with a lot of the same thing or truly let it be "pot luck"? Also, will there be plans for Sunday?

Looking forward to a great weekend at the beach!

Pat

sounds good to us also. we have a meatball recipe that sounds good. made with a chili sauce, but not spicy or hot. Would that be okay? otherwise open for suggestions for potluck.

Let's make it a true potluck!
As far as I know, nothing has been planned for Sunday
morning......yet!
Regarding Saturday night.....we can do a buffet (American or Chinese)
or an Italian restuarant....just a few ideas.

Red face

Pat & Skip

We changed our plans to come in on Thursday instead of Friday just so we could spend extra time with you LOL. Patty K and I plan on going to dinner at the Flamingo Grill that night. Want to go with us? Anyone else?

ALL--Patty K says she will make baked beans for Friday night and we would like to go to a seafood buffet on Saturday night.

If anyone wants to have a group breakfast one morning, Patty will make sausage gravy but will need help with making the biscuits.

Your thoughts please...

See you all soon

Welcome Kim and Jerry! This is the link to join and also that tells a little about the group.

http://www.irv2.com/forums/groups/38-carolina+campers.html

If possible join us at the April meet in Myrtle Beach, SC. You may not be able to get a site right with us but maybe they can get you close.

Also if you have not already done so, please check out the thread Carolina Campers May Meet. We will be at Mayberry Campground in Mount Airy, NC May 18th-20th. Would love to have you join us!

ALL- Brent posted a message last weekend but since there has not been any feedback, I will send it again. We were out camping and I wonder if the message actually went through. So here it is....

Pat&Skip--We will be coming in on Thursday afternoon instead of Friday so you can have the pleasure of enjoying our company a day early LOL.

I am taking Brent to Flamingo Grill for a belated birthday dinner so please join us. Anyone else want to go? Great seafood and the best prime rib you can eat.

For the Friday night potluck, I will be making baked beans.

On Saturday, Brent and I would like to have seafood buffet. For those who dont like seafood, there is usually lots of other items. I like the Big Crab but they are all pretty great.

If anyone wants to have a breakfast potluck, I will be glad to fix sausage & gravy. Will need someone else to take care of the biscuits as it just takes so long in my convection oven.

How does this sound to everyone?

See you soon

PattyK and Brent

Hi PattyK
I also agree on the Giant Crab! I have been trying to
call them and left a message. I am waiting for a return call.
I am trying to get the group rate wich I think is around $20 per person.
I will post the info when I hear from them.
See you at the beach
