Carolina Campers/Myrtle Beach/11/16-19/2012

I have called a few campgrounds for rates, etc.
Ocean Lakes Resort will not give a group rate unless we have 25+ rigs, which I don't think we will have. The rates are $28.00-34.00 per night. They do allow campfires, but we would have to dig a hole in the ground or bring our own fire ring.

Cypress Camping Park is a new park on the Intercoastal Waterway. Their rates for a group are $22.00. They have fire rings on each site and an Amenity center for folks to gather at if the weather is bad or we want to play cards, etc.

Please let me know ASAP which park you would prefer and I will take care of holding our sites on Friday. I will post all the info and meal plan then.

Either place is fine with us. Thanks for getting this put together.

Either one is fine with us. Never stayed at Ocean Lakes, only MB Travel Park and both MB & Huntington Beach, State Parks.

Cypress looks nice and new with one good Google review. I didn't see anything on their web site about pets. I assume Barney, the wonder dog, would be welcome? The Amenity Center could come in handy.

Of the two, I lean towards Cypress. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know at LetsCamp@inboxalias.com.

That would be a drawback for us if we can't bring our dog.

W4KMA and Gmadams, I have not found any campground that did not allow our dog. Since we fulltime, our dog is with us 24/7. Thanks for bringing that up, as most of us have our four legged kids with us. I too, am leaning towards Cypress. Thanks for the input.

Either place is fine with us. I'm sure we will have a wonderful time whichever campground you decide on. Looking forward to a great weekend!

Pat,

Looking forward to seeing you and Skip again. Can you check with Judy and Bob to see if they are going? Kay has been busy working the early elections and hasn't seen Judy in quite a while.

Thanks,
Gary

Gary,

We are likewise looking forward to seeing you and Kay. I talked to Judy Wednesday and she said they are planning on going.

Pat

I have asked Cyrpress Camping Resort to block 15 sites from 11/15-19/2012. Please call and reserve your spot soon, so if we need to add more sites, we can. When you call let them know you are with the Carolina Campers. They want a $50.00 deposit. Cancellation within 7 days will have a $5.00 cancellation fee and the balance refunded. After the 7 days, the deposit is forfeited. The number to call is
1-843-293-0300. I will start a separate thread for meals.

Just made our resrevations. Right now we are only planning on being there Friday night and Saturday night but that could change to where it could be longer.
