Coastal camping after Labor day?

We're looking for a Full hookup camp/RV along the coast (north or south Carolina) somewhat near the water that isn't going to ask for $75.00 a night. Yes I'm cheap, Not looking for a place where they have tons of things to do like Koa or Yogis places. Just a Nice peaceful place to park and enjoy what god gave us! Any and all help or advise would be great. Thank You!

Try Cedar Point near Swansboro, NC. 30A electric on site, water spigots every few sites. Nice level, paved sites, boardwalk over the salt marsh, interpretive trails and boat dock are a short walk or bike ride away. Our favorite campground on the NC coast.

Note, in December the dump station was closed, not sure if it is open now, verify by phoning the Croatan Ranger District in this link.

We like Cypress Camping Resort in Myrtle Beach. It is not on the beach, but is on the Intercoastal Waterway. Reasonable rates.

Turkey Point RV Park

Awesome little park on the intercoastal and within 5 minutes of Topsail Beach!
Quiet and secluded

Willow Tree, Longs S.C.

One of the VERY best parks in the south. Close to the beach but without the beach crowds and traffic. Everything is first class!

No one has mentioned any of the OBX campgrounds yet but the ones near Rodanthe and Waves are right behind the dunes. Camp Hatteras has sites on the ocean side and the sound side depending on your preference. The NPS has several campgrounds that have dry camping, but i think you are looking for full hookups.

x2++ on all of these suggestions! Huntington is a great place and you can usually find room there. Edisto is the only one (i think) that you will be able to have an actual ocean view from the RV, but that is on just a few of the sites in the beach loop.
Myrtle Beach SP i think is somewhat overlooked by many so it seems as there are always sites available there.

Willow Tree is a first class place but i don't consider 15 miles to the beach to be close, but that's just my opinion. If you are going to MB to shop or golf, that is a good option.

Dump station was still closed as of August when I swung by to check. The bathrooms are still open so I guess the dump station was overloading the septic system.

Still an awesome little park!
Very nice walking trails out on the marsh!
