Costco Chairs

Hi Everyone,

I hope all Carolina Campers are doing well. School is out for Sandy in a week, so hopefully we can get some camping in this summer. Maybe we can catch up with some of you as we do.

I found a couple nice chairs at Costco and though I'd pass along the information. I also posted this in the Product Review section.

Take care,
Ed, Sandy & Barney

Last month I picked up a couple Timber Ridge Director's Chair while in Costco. At $29, they were a little more than what I'd seen at Harbor Freight but looked better made. They sat good at the store (nice and roomy) and I'll tell you that after getting them home, I REALLY like them. They are solidly constructed, light weight and nice enough I decided we should have two more.

Entering Costco yesterday, I was greeted with a stack of Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs at the same $29 price. These were also well constructed with insulated storage and other pockets. So instead of getting two more of the Director's Chairs, I grabbed a couple of these. Although a little heaver (for that walk to the beach) they are also really nice chairs.

Inventory at Costco varies from store to store, but if you're in need of an extra chair or two, either of these looks to be a good choice and I was happy with the price. I haven't seen any other chairs as nice for the price.

The only link I could find with pictures was on someone else's site.

Hi Ed and Sandy. If you get down Charleston way, stop in and see us. We will be working at the KOA until September, then on to the Rally in Myrtle Beach. Enjoy your summer.

I have a couple of chairs like those director's chairs.. They were purchased in either 2005 or before.. still good.. And the ones I have fit my "Wide body" chassis just fine.

Timber Ridge Director Chairs

These are really great. Super price at Costco's. I bought 2 last spring (2014). They are strong to support both mine and my wife's over-indulged bodies. Plus, there is not the bar that hits right in the back of the leg to hurt. I had ordered a chair from Camping World, that said for larger people and it ripped on the edge first time I took camping (I weigh 255 lbs.) No comparison with Timber Ridge. Ours still look like brand new. The folding table is also an asset to set your beverage down, or book. I wish we had a Costco close, we bought these when we went to visit our daughter out of state. I also looked at the Tommy Bahama's. I thought the Timber Ridge were a better chair. Just my opinion.

Agree, director chair as depicted and from Costco is a good chair and value. Bought two early last year, liked so well we bought two more.

I will also pile onto the agreement here regarding the quality of the Timber Ridge chairs and their lounge.

I bought two chairs and one lounge chair last year to replace some failing chairs I had purchased a few years back.

They are very high quality and inexpensive comparatively.

You can't go wrong with these chairs. The only downside is that you only have two colors choices, red or blue.

I have a couple Costco Director's chairs that are older than this RIG, forget how much I paid. (I mean I got 'em before I got this 2005 Intruder) but they have nice side tables, and they are "Wide Body".

I have one other I got elsewhere.. I get stuck in that one (it is not wide enough) .. Nice chairs.
