Just made our reservation. We're on site 19 arriving Sept. 29 and departing Oct. 3. Haven't been to Stone Mountain since the last iRV2 rally. I think that was about 12 years ago. Looking forward to this one.

We will be there. I'll call later today. Will be my 70th birthday October 2. We're finishing up at the Tiffin service center on Tuesday and are probably going to stay at Stone mountain to visit family in Atlanta on the way home. Been traveling since June7.

Just booked site 15. There are only two sites left. We will be on a site on the other side of this loop, #81, July 22-26. Showed full online, but there was one open so got lucky. Very efficient lady helped with both reservations.

Any thoughts from some of you well traveled RVers on interesting places to see between the end of IRV2 and the start of the Carolina Camper outing?

Don't know what you may like or how far off a direct route you're willing to go, but anytime we head north we try to stop at Meadows of Dan Campground, in the town of the same name in SW Virginia. Not far from Mt. Airy, NC and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There's also a candy factory in town that makes the best fudge anywhere.

By my count of those responding on this thread, there are six rigs so far. Do we have some stealth attendees?

We arrived at Stone Mountain a few hours ago and the fall sites are very near our current site. Walked the dogs up there and they are plenty roomy. Couple of very large rigs on 14 and 16. Roads are narrow, but lots of shade is nice right now. Our dome DirecTV is blocked by trees, but the cable is OK with 40 channels.

It's dark now, but I think 20 A&B are side by side with one a pull in and the other a back in so they face each other.

If we go to Stone mountain the dates would probably be 9/29-10/3.
Rats, bummer.

Thanks for coordinating this, was really looking forward to it and we've been to that campground before and would love to go back. Unfortunately, we're already committed that weekend, so won't be able to attend this year. Hopefully we can make the next one!

I've been reorganizing my old photo files and ran across a photo from the iRV2 Southeast rally at Stone Mountain in April 2005. I think about seven rigs attended. The photo is of some of the group as we waited for the laser fireworks show. Sadly, several of that rally's attendees are no longer with us but fond memories remain.

Jo Ann and I had planned another rally at Stone Mtn a few years ago but some medical issues got in our way. I believe two or three rigs still made it anyway.
