Fall campout/Charleston, SC/Oct 17-20

The MT. Pleasant/Charleston KOA has blocked 15 sites for our October 17-20, Fall Dinner campout. The phone number is 800-562-5796. When you call mention my name, Brenda Irby, and they will put you on one of the sites blocked in my name. The cost per night is 49.66 +tax. If you are a KOA Member you will not get an additonal discount but will be awarded your points for that stay. We will have unlimited access to the Rec Hall for a game night and our pot luck. In September, I will start a thread for our menu for Saturday night so you can plan what to bring. Frank and I are on site #27 and will have campfires there in the evenings. We will be going into Charleston Friday for sight seeing. If there are any activities you want to see for this weekend, feel free to mention them. Any questions you can send me a PM. We have one new couple that I am aware of and I hope to see all of you there as well.
Brenda

Laraine and I plan to attend and have reserved site 17. We’ll arrive Wednesday, Oct 16th and leave Sunday, Oct 20th.

We're looking forward to seeing ‘old’ friends and making new friends.

After an excruciating 12 minutes on the phone, hopefully I have secured site 32 for Thur - Sat. May arrive late Wed if Sandy is up to it. We met a nice couple last weekend that live in the Charleston area and invited them to join the group. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Hi. It looks like you all will have a fun time.

I was not aware of this event until just reading the post, so already have plans, or we would have liked to join you, if you don't mind having a new camper from Winston Salem, NC joined your group.

If you don't mind us joining, please let us know when the next event comes around.

Love Charleston - it's where DH and I met 20+ years ago. Planning on a return trip in 2015 and would love to join you then if this is an annual thing.

October is a great time of year to visit too!

Just wanted to remind everyone, we still have sites available in Charleston. You don't have to be a Carolina Camper to attend. We hope to have some good food and great fellowship.

We'll be neighbors, Patty and I are on site #8. Will be in late thurs or early fri. Looking forward to meeting folks. You may pass me on the road, I drive slow, especially on that 17 stretch Georgetown to Charleston, fairly crummy road, especially right hand lane where log trucks run. I tend to use left lane and move over when I see traffic coming up behind me. They sure have improved that 17 corridor through Mt Pleasant into Charleston though, nice road.

We will be back down there a few weeks later at James Island. Son lives in Charleston, down town, and wedding celebration will be down there in November.
