Where is Mayberry Campground? I'm always looking for an overnight spot on my semi-annual "Hike" to/from winter/summer quarters.

Right outside Mt. Airy, NC at exit 11 on I-74.

This is a good park when you need a break on I-77 before you go up or down that 8 mile climb/downgrade for Fancy Gap Pass. Give you rig a break for a couple of days and tour the area. This was the original home of Andy Griffin and the basis for his Mayberry show that is still airing. Don't miss the museum and eat down town. The Owners of the park are darn good folks.
