03 41' Select - Replace backup camera

Hi. DH and I are looking at an 03 41' Select. It's a nice looking coach in good shape. The only area of the electronics that I'm a bit concerned about is the backup camera and display. While the backup camera works, the display is a little dim, low contrast, and fuzzy. So...

Has anyone replaced their BU camera on a TS of this vintage? Is this difficult? Expensive?

Does it require running new wires? If so, how difficult is it to run the wires?

Did you replace the dash display? Again, how difficult is that?

Finally, what brand of BU camera and display would you recommend?

Thanks for any feedback.

Regards,

Dan.

p.s. I'm a DIY kinda guy. I love challenge.

I had my Weldex replaced with a Voyager. I believe the utilized the existing wires.

I haven't replaced mine, but do have good access to the camera through a removable panel in the bedroom closet. I have also heard good things about these guys for info and purchasing:

RV Cams, Inc -- Wholesale Distributor of Premium Backup Cameras and Parts

Good luck.

Uhm... That should be "...DW and I...". I'm still trying to get the acronyms correct.
