2005 Travel Supreme 42DS04 Deadbolt entrance door lock

The key cylinder has fallen apart on my entrance door deadbolt.

I assume since the key cylinder, tumblers and springs fell out without
use of a special tool that a locksmith would use to remove / rekey the
lock that there is a broken part inside the mechanism and that the
lock is likely beyond repair.

The door was manufactured by Napannee Window. It appears that they are no longer in business.

Has anyone had any experiences with this item? Does anyone know who
the manufacturer of the deadbolt lock is?

Good chance the lock mechanism is made by Tri Mark and parts are available if you need any. I would take the inside of the door panel off to gain access to the lock assembly and do a visual inspection of the back side of the lock. I would be that you only need a new tumbler and keys. Take a picture of the lock assembly for ordering reference. Good luck and keep us posted.

I took the deadbolt out and found a broken "C" clip that had retained the key cylinder.

I took the bag of parts to a local locksmith shop. For $10 they installed a new cylinder and matched it to my key.

It's not often that a motorhome repair can be completed for $10 + tax!!!!

I think $10 is a new record low!

I had the worst nightmare about 4 months ago. We went into a restaurant and left the MH parked in a lot with the AC running for the Kitty Cats and when we returned, I put the key in the lock and it just spun in circles. It was about 100 degrees and I fiddled with it for an hour before I finally got it open.

I hate lock problems!
