2007 Travel Supreme ME

I own a 2006 Dutch Star, 3 slide, Model 3817,thinking about selling it, and am going to look at a Travel Supreme Mid Engine, 2007 model 42ME, with about 30k miles. The TS has 4 slides, larger Frig, and tiled floors. A know a little about TS having researched it with the RV consumer group reviews, and am wondering what other TS owners have to say, about what I can expect to go wrong!

They didn't build a lot of the mid engine coaches. There is some info on this forum about them and you could do a google search for "Travel Supreme mid engine" or "Travel Supreme ME". That will give you several threads to read.

The search function on IRV2 is not good.

As you can see by the number of positive posts on this thread most of us are very happy with our coaches.

Is the 42ME listed where pictures are available? Always like to see other ME coaches since, as the previous post states, there are so few.

The engine sits in front of the rear axle. Instead of another storage compartment, on the passenger side, there is a fuel tank, the air inlet with battery tray and a small compartment for the Hydro-Hot panel; on drivers is radiator. Aft the axle, on the toy hauler is the garage bay, which sits under the king sized bed.

I looked at the used 2007 43' travel supreme that I mentioned on my prior post! The quality was great on the inside. I don't like the Mid engine because it has an access panel cut in the middle of the tiled floor. The wood work, solid interior doors, bathrooms, shower, closet, audio-video, and galley is superior to my Dutch Star, and that is saying a lot.

Also, the outside paint had noticeable checking on the sides, and some serious fading on the back cap. Other than that, I am sure it would be a great coach for someone.

I am still looking at other used TS in the 2007 to 2008 range, but it must have at least a queen pullout sofa, non carpeted floors in the front, and no longer that 42.' Yes I am picky, but when you have a 2006 Dutch Star, and you need a larger refrigerator, two slides up front, and no carpet up front, then the current Dutch Star will do while I wait for one that fits my needs!

For now, I am focusing on a used Travel Supreme for my number 1 choice, followed by Dutch Star, Ventana, maybe a Country Coach, and maybe an older Foretravel. I told you that I am a little picky, but I am willing to listen to suggestions about other brands!

Keep in mind that is does not take much to have the carpet replaced with flooring as many have done.
