Alternate route south instead of I-75?

Don't know where to post this so I thought I'd start here. We want to travel to FLA from ONT. We upgraded our fiver to a 34RLSS from a Jayco 261RL. At a GTW of approx 10,000 the jayco worked the F-350 a bit going through the mountains on I-75 but with the TS @ 14,000 I'd like to travel around the mountains if possible. Would I-65 (?) be a good choice? I know it's out of the way but time is cheaper than repairs ...LOL.
Thanks
Mark

the only mountains you have on 75 is Jellico, and thats really nothing. you can run down 75 and take 71 just into Ky over to 65 and then south.
