Armrest pictures

I removed the armrests on each side of the driver and passenger chairs (the square boxes that each have several toggle switches and controls mounted) to install a new wood floor and to recover the armsrests to match new Villa chairs we recently purchased - matching leather fabric provided by Villa.
In my haste to get the armrests out and with a focus on taking pics of the electrical connections to all of the switches, I didn’t take any pics of the armrests and the several insert piece that are in each. I now have the armrests recovered as well as all of the inserts but the reassembly doesn’t fully just jump out at me. It appears that the inserts should form a small compartment. Maybe to hold maps, insurance papers, registration...etc.
Any pics or description / explanation would be appreciated.

Are these the "inserts" you are talking about? Mine are just kind of stuffed inside the hole and really don't do much good other than block the view of all that is behind them... yes you could slip a book, magazine or map in there if you wanted... not sure what the "factory" design was...

Armrest pics

Yes these are the exact areas I’m working on in my coach. I get the same impression, that these “inserts” are just laying in there. If you have any more of either side it would be appreciated.
If there is anyone else who has pics or could comment on how they look in their coach it would be appreciated.
