Broken slide drive

2006 TSS45 door side front slide - front drive unit.

Bad failure looks difficult to repair. Does anyone know who made the drive for these slides?

Thanks in advance

Broken Slide Drive

Did you install the bolts in the rods? We had a problem with the passenger bedroom slide last year where the pin sheared. I changed the slide pins to bolts and now am concerned there may be a corrosion issue starting.

You may be able to get some information on the slide parts from Kornel at TravelSupremeParts.com or Paul's RV in Indiana.

Slide drive repair

Don - Thanks for the recommendation to check with Kornel . With the help of a photo and some phone conversation with him we had parts figured out and they will be overnighted Monday. He was extremely helpful !

Paul responded he did not have parts and had no recomendations any further. That surprised me a little. But his business is fixing not helping others to fix I guess.

Had to saw shaft thru on both sides of drive sprocket to get it our. New shaft will have sprocket lose and it can be either welded or fixed with a dowel pin.

This slide moves very easy by hand and the damage must have been done by the previous owner having the torque limit set way too high. I plan to cut back on all the controllers just to be safe as this is a difficult repair.

Problem solved

Thanks again Robert for the recommendation to contact Kornel. I can not say enough good about how he helped and supplied the parts necessary in an overnight fashion. If anyone has a slide problem I would recommend you contact him. Excellent part quality and fast service.

Thanks again buck

Who is Kormel? I have a drivers side slide failure and need to know how manually retract it and from whom to order a new motor.
