As all have stated, the TS brand is a great coach. It's really all about what you are looking for in a coach - they were excellent coach builders who got caught in the 2008 crash along with others. We bought out '06 42' tag a couple years ago and regrettably are selling due to health issues............it's on Ebay and RVTrader if anyone wants a look....... JB

Thanks again everyone for the help. We loooove the TS but have recently found out that most RV parks in California (L.A. area) won't take an RV over 10 years old so we are now looking for a new RV. So sad as they are gorgeous.

The ten year old rule has been the subject of many discusssions here. Use the search function of the forum and you will have an afternoon of reading available that covers personal experiences, opinions, and suggestions.

Before you give up on a coach you really like (and saving some $$$ to boot!) you might contact the CG's directly with pictures of the coach you're considering and ask for a ruling on that particular coach. You may find it's more of a "preventative" rule; ie, giving the CG a method to "police" the "undesirable" rigs and customers than a hard and fast "age" rule. Not saying it won't happen tomorrow, but I have yet to be turned away due to my coach's advanced age. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

I often wonder how many campgrounds really enforce such a rule. Although we have never stayed in a California campground, we have been at some nice "RV Resorts" and no one has ever asked the year of our rig. If they did ask I'd just say it's 7 or 8 years old. If it is not trashed out I doubt they would want to see the registration. I believe Thunderfoot is on the mark and this is a tactic to keep some eyesore out of the campground.

Good luck in whatever you buy.

I have never heard of anyone being turned away with a well kept coach that has full body paint. Some just want a picture. We travel with friends who have a 2002, and they have never been turned away. Buy the coach you were considering.

You won't be disappointed. It's a quality rig...none to compare.
We bought our TS Select in 2011. Sure, we had a few issues, but it's an 05. Didn't break the bank. Ours did have the x-bracing..thank god. Heard many a story on rigs that didn't.
Good luck on your decision!!!
