05 TS 45 Select ... does anyone know if there is an air FILTER for the dashboard air conditioner that needs replacing or occasional cleaning? I have good air flow, no leaks in the system (professionally checked), properly charged but it's not very cold ... 62degrees is the coldest it gets which is not very cold for 95 degree days.
Maybe 62 degrees is all I get???

I have an 04 but no filter that I know of...
One thing I have seen mentioned is the hot water control valve may be stuck! What then happens is it heats your cooled air..
I believe the valve is on the firewall above at the back of the generator..
Maybe just run the vent on the dash unit and see if it is warm....
Or feel the in and out of the valve.. One would be warm the other cooler..

Try touching your hoses into your heater core. If they are both hot or warm, then coolant is still circulating through the heater core. In a battle between heat and A/C, the heater will win. You might need to adjust the heater temperature control or you could do as many have and just install a ball valve in one of the heater hoses to shut down coolant flow from the engine.

While many autos now have a 'cabin filter' I don't know if your RV has one or not, my guess would be not.

Do you run your air in recirc, cooling your already cool interior air, or are you running in fresh and constantly bringing in 100* outside air and trying to cool it?

No cabin air filters that I'm aware of. 62 degree output is not right. Do all positions on blower make changes to blower speed ? Like others stated check hot air valve, common issue.
What are ac pressures?
If it's got a front condenser, make sure it's clean, and fan is working, also make sure it's fan is turning right direction, seen several wired backwards

One more possibility. I had the same problem and it turned out to be the gaskets on the doors that control air flow through the system. They get old and dry out.

You can install a manual valve in the inlet hose for the heater, but you need to open it if you need heat.
Or go to https://www.comfortairgr.com/product...rome-rv-parts/ and order a new water valve...I have had to replace mine on 2 different TS. The serial and model # is on the unit in gen compartment. You should call them to be sure you get the right part, as you may have older style elec. connector and need the upgrade pigtail. If you have driver/passenger dual controls, replace both water valves. You may also need to replace the air drier in the system. I had mine evacuated and flushed w/new drier...never worked better.

Every system is different but mine is an 05 fleetwood, Texas summer 105, 97% humidity, I can still get low 46 degree air out of ac.
Just my opinion but 62 seems high to me.
You still have not posted what pressures your getting on system. We really need to see those to have any real opinion of any substance.
Could be any number of things.

The professional emptied the system, checked for leaks with a vacuum test (passed) then put in oil & 4.5 lbs of refrigerant (per the tag on the system). The temp would only get down to 64 deg. He added additional refrigerant (total of 6lbs) & it made no difference. Later that day I checked the pressure using the same gauge I use for my car system (auto parts store type came with fluid) & added another 24 OZ (two cans) of fluid before the gauge started reading & acting correctly. The directions say the pressure is conditional on the ambient temp & you set the temp then read the pressure. At 98 degree ambient the pressure should fall between 45-55 lbs which it now does (lower temp = lower pressure). I hope that answers your pressure questions.

You didn't measure or report High-pressure readings? Putting 7.5 lbs of refrigerant in a system holding 4.5 lbs doesn't sound right. Proper charging of an A/C system requires outside temperature, high and low pressure readings, plus temperature drop between dash vent and outside.

Did you ever check that the heater core is shut off and coolant isn't circulating through it?

I don't know what the high pressure reading was & we have been parked for since the 10th of June. i will have time this week to check the coolant flow before we get back on the road this coming weekend.

7.5 lbs Freon is way too much and will actually decrease output. 4.5 sounds high to begin with but may be right. Haven’t heard of a coach system that was more than 4 lbs.
so just being honest here.
We need to get your system charged correctly and get low and high readings to start helping you troubleshoot it.
If you are headed near Dallas I’d be happy to help.
So why did the guy have to service it to begin with.
Clearly it was low or had some service done to it. Was was done how long had it been empty. How long did he pull vacuum. Did they check for leaks with nitrogen. Etc.
