I have a 06 Select and am having problems with the windshield popping out. I have had the windows replaced once and the gaskets replaced once. When the gaskets were replaced I made sure the tech put plenty of adhesive in the gasket. I have heard there is a lack of bracing in the front of the coach. What can be done?

That's a common issue. I had mine braced at the factory while they were still in business. Your best bet now is to take it to Supreme RV Service in Elkhart. About $1200 to do this work.

The pics would be appreciated. You have done this to 3 coaches? Is it very difficult to do?

I spoke with someone in Elkhart 6 months ago but I am not sure the company name. I will have to drive from Calif. and I sure want to make sure who ever does it does a good job. How have your modification held up?

Sure, the coach runs great and no windshield problems since they did it in June, '07. Just call supreme RV...they have the most experience in doing this, so would be my choice-no question about it.

Thanks for your help. Hopefully it will take care of the problem. It has been very frustrating.

I am not sure which models. I spoke with Supreme RV repairs last week and they had done 40 of these repairs last year. It appears to be a problem with many units. I am sure others on this site have additional info. Good luck.

Ann and Gene. All the K-2 chassis-based coaches are candidates for this modification. The Alante is one of them. But go ahead and buy it...this issue can be solved with the bracing and it's a GREAT coach!

Thanks guys. We ARE going to buy the coach, cant resist the price. It is a new one that the bank got when they foreclosed on a dealer, could not sell it and sold several to a dealer in Texas, he price them so low we could not resist. Well, looks like a trip to Elkhart is in our future, does this need to be done VERY SOON or do I have a few miles before problems might occur(give me time to see what else will need to be tweaked while it is at Supreme)? Thanks again, Gene
