Low chassis voltage

My Volt Minder only read 10.2 volts this morning. I am sure that it has slowly been going down but I did not notice it until this morning. We have been living aboard since November and evidently there is still a drain on the chassis batteries if the switch is not shut off. Maybe from the entrance step light. For some reason I thought the chassis batteries were charged by the coaches charging system. Any explanations would be appreciated. Also, is there some way that the chassis batteries can be on a charging system?

It's my understanding that the chassis batteries are charged via engine alternator, unless you have a B.I.R.D system installed. Then they would also a take charge from shore power or generator.

I think you are right. I ordered a Echo Charger.
