Thumbs up 2003 # 40ds01

Congratulations !!! Cat246ssl
That's a well built coach. I have the same one with two slides for 8 years and 90k miles. It's taken us to Alaska twice and all over the USA.
I also agree with Drew @ OldHatt45 about the maintenance updates. I would also change out the hydraulic oil and filters(two) since this drives the radiator cooling fan and the steering system. The Norcold refrigerator has a serious recall. I have replaced my Norcold cooling system three years ago and am now on way to have Precision Paint replace with the Samsung RF18 residential unit.
You can check the fuel by turning on the ignition key but do not start and go back at the filter and catch a sample in a clear used water bottle. It probably is black from water algae and you may be able to salvage with an water treatment additive available at truck stops.
I recommend Precision Paint for the coach and Spartan in Michigan for the running gear.
Lots of luck and ENJOY !!

X2 on Precision and Spartan.. I made my pilgrimage there this spring.. Great folks.. You might also check around and see if you can find a company that recycles and cleans diesel fuel.. Common on procedure on Boats that have stayed unused for too long.. They pump the fuel out and filter it use additives and pump it back in.. Carry a coupleof fuel filters and should be good to go!

I got it!!!

I was able to secure a deal on a (new, only used once) 3,800 mile bus. This coach is simple amazing, I've spent all day getting to know it.

Thanks to all the TS owners for the advise, help, brochures, ect. I look forward to learning and being able to reciprocate to all of you.

This is my 1st motorhome, but have been around equipment all my life. (Caterpillar for 18 years of my adult life)
