New owner 2005 TS Select 42DS04

Picked up a select about 2 weeks ago been knocking out the todo list. Major repairs was the front door got bent about an inch at front corner had to pull it out it on my trailer strap it down and bend it back into shape. Ordered new patches high speed latch for top right corner and and seals. Basically rebuilding all of it of the door components. Rear passenger slide is getting adjusted also. New headlights went with LEDs and HIDs.

Now the windshield is on the agenda. There aren’t any gaps between the body and the glass just cracking I think I’m just going to leave it for now. I’m planning to do the x barcing myself. Anyone have a diagram matarels and which barcing needs to go where. I’ve read about x bracing and a linear 45* bracing but haven’t seen much about that. I’m a welder fabricator and accomplished mechanic not much scares me off. Well maybe carpentry work.

Glad you are aboard. You have a very well built coach that will give many years of outstanding service!

There is a lot of experience and help available on this forum.

Here's some reading material about cross-bracing.

Also, the bracing going from the frame angled up to a spot behind the generator is very important. I believe, but can’t remember for sure, they preformed my bracing while coach was block up on frame and leveled.

Thanks I thought I had read most of those. I just found in one the links that there is a guy in Dallas that has the plans for the repairs given to him by Paul’s RV repair. I’m calling Paul’s tomorrow I’ll have to call him as well. I want to do this one time and I want it done right.
