Similar but not the Same Coach 2005 42 DS04 In the top center front cabinet I have the controls for the wind and to put out and retract.

Las year the outside button stopped on the forward Awning the Rear one is still at 100 pre cent. Have completely disassembled but could not find electric - because it will close have not wasted a ton of time.

Hope this helps,

Works going out but not in.

Have not been able to find the controller inside yet. I used the hand crank and it started to come in, but than slipped on the roll. I used a pole and pushed in the arms a little than cranked in the awning. The remote works putting it back out but not bringing it in. Will advise as I learn more.

So the motor works who open, but not close. The roll slips and opens the awning when manually cranky in? If so, it needs a new motor. Now is the time to look at a new unit, motion sensor instead of air/wind sensor, new black awning fabric, new controls. It is 14 years old... this happened to me a year ago. You will have to take some extra large zip ties and lock the box together before you go out on the road. The motor is the brake...

Thank you,

That is what I figured on. Now just to track down the wire and control. As a side note. With it open it acts as a great rain holding device.
