Replacement Toilet

Our 06 Select has a Sealand "Magnum Opus" model 3011 Black toilet. The control board has gone bad and Sealand ran out of boards about 2-3 years ago.

Has anyone else had to replace this same type of toilet? If you did, what did you replace it with?

Our current one is black and I cannot find any toilets that are black. Wife not happy about that.

Thanks
Ben

Ben,

Have you tried some of the RV salvage yards to see if one of them would have a Magnum Opus board that they would sell. Also, is it possible to find someone that could repair the board?

I installed a Magnum Opus toilet 8 years ago when replacing the Thetford Aria II POC.

I also found a spare board for sale which I scarfed up just to have in case my board failed.

Camping World is selling a limited supply of Sealand Concerto toilets BUT not in black. I believe they are bone color.

There are other electric toilet brands that I have come across recently that may work for you in place of the Magnum Opus. They are called Microphor, Raritan, Jabsco and Headhunter. Most are available from marine supply shops.

Beware of some of the electric marine and rv toilets, most notably the "grinder" variety, as most are only 1.5" or 2" outlets, where your Opus is 3". In rv's , the grinders are mostly used in rear bath models so piping can be easily routed.
As a replacement, the Thetford Aria should be a good option and comes in both short and tall models...but not black. Bad thing about the black is that internal human "issues" are not detectable in black...just something you might mention to the wife.

As justaroamer is aware, the Aria in our coach is still working fine after ten years. As said, just another option.

Thanks Everyone

I finally found a replacement board from a Visone RV in E. Bernstadt, KY.

I will give this a shot and hope it works as my wife was very unset about no more black toilets. LOL.

The Aria is the one I had decided on if we need a new one.

Thanks Again
Ben

When most boards fail it usually the capacitors on it. They dry out and fail.
