Two thermostats?

We have a 99 TS 5er. It has a digital thermostat with heat/cool provisions that is only connected to the A/C. Directly below it is the typical beige slide thermostat that controls the furnace. What gives? Our stick and tin Jayco had only one thermostat. Did I miss something? I should be able to use the digital one for both UNLESS the heat anticipater is different. Any thoughts?
Thanks

I'm curious, do you have a Fantastic Fan? I have two thermostats, one, a 4 button Duotherm that runs my a/c, heat strips, and the furnace. The second looks like an old fashioned furnace thermostat but actually operates the Fantastic Fan.

Have you tried it out?

I have the thermostat for the Fantastic fan as well. I wonder if the factory did it this way so if I added a heat strip, that would be the heat portion of the thermostat?

I also have a TS with 2 thermostats 1 just above the other plus 1 in the bedroom for the Fantastic fan. Ours is a 1998 40 footer 5th wheel. Not sure what the bottom one is for. Our digital thermostat runs the a/c & heatpump. It could be for the propane heater.
