Water Leak Around Slide Drive Shaft

Hi All,
Wondering if anybody else noticed this and what you have done about it. Oh the passenger side of the water bay the rear slide drive motor is mounted at about the top center. The slide out drive shaft goes to the rear from there through the plywood bulkhead/fender to the drive mechanism above the rear tires. The water spray off of the tires when driving in the rain gets on the shaft and through the hole it passes through and into the water bay. Makes a mess and is sure to do damage to the plywood. Has anybody tried to fix this and how?
Thanks in advance
Dave

I have a similar problem on my 40 DSO 4 TS, how do you seal a square shaft?
