We have a TS select, I hate the Weldex POS back up/side view camera system. We have had several problems with the back up system mostly rolling screen on the rear mode, clear on the side cameras. Now we have a rolling screen at all times. Anyone have a better option to replace it with.

I've never dealt with these folks (different camera with no issues), but have heard good thing from here:

RVCams Backup Cameras and Rear View Systems: Backup Camera Systems (All)

Good luck.

When you switched over to the sony, how did you utilize the module that the smart drive plugs into and the tire sentry sysem?

After having work done on my Weldex several times with monitors replaced I finally had the system replaced. I had an extended warrantee and they covered everything but the wiring. Seems to be working right now. Weldex isn't a very good system. Happy to have the new one. Good luck

I traced my Weldex rolling and black out condition to the rear connector. It was a lose connection. I fixed that and noticed that the cable just hung down, so I used some tie wraps and secured it removing the weight from the connection. That fixed my problems. Hope this will help you out.

On my '06, had some issues, but corrected as ArmyEOD did along with elec. contact cleaner. Also, the front side cams wires hung down and also cleaned. Pulled dash panel and cleaned connection there also. Sensitive connections, little draw/amps so no "arcing" to complete connections. As an example, replaced basement compartment bulbs with LED bulbs and tilt switches failed to make contact as they did with the conventional bulbs. Had to bypass the switches, even after replacing the switches. Stayed all LED in and out, I'll do the switches manually.

The Sony system plugged right up to the wiring for the welded, one of the reasons we chose sony. As for the tire sentry system, my T.S. did NOT have that option so no help there, not sure why it would be connected to the backup camera though. just my experience.

I have been trying to find your post as to what you did and have not been able to locate it. I cut out the rear connection and soldered those wires together with good results but now I'm experiencing problems again with the display going blank or flipping.

Can you please direct me to what you did to get your Weldex working?

I think you did the thing most TS owners found to fix the problem. Are your wires supported by a tie wrap of some kind?

I recently installed the Magnadyne M1-LCD. Magnadyne M1-LCD

It has camera inputs with turn signal activation for the side cameras. It has a total of 4 inputs and the ability to display on a remote monitor should you choose.

I selected it because it gives me; my Sirius radio, CD, iPod, and cameras all in one location.

It is DIN size 2 so nice big screen (color).

I am thinking of adding a camera under the coach to show jacks up or down.

That is one interesting device. No GPS? Hard to believe something like this being made WITHOUT GPS, but I like it!
