Well you guys shamed me into getting out and trying the "tougher stuff" that I've been putting off until tomorrow. Took the pump out and removed the bottom and checked to make sure the disc was moving it was didn't seem to be moving an 1/8 of an inch but I couldn't get it to move anymore. Tried WD 40 and working it back and forth but. I had to take it further apart to hear the air created by the movement or I wouldn't have known it was moving at all by just pressing on it.
So I took the other water pump I had from another RV, it had different specs 2.8 GPM instead of 3 GPM and 45psi instead of 55psi. It self primed and worked fine. It's an older shurflo pump so it is louder.
The pump in mine was real quiet, reading some of the post I was surprised to hear other posters wanting to quiet theirs down. So I guess I'll be buying a new matching pump, hope the new one is as quiet as the old.
Thanks for all the help and getting me off my lazy butt!

Water Pump Problem

Rick,

I am having the same problems. Did you get yours fixed? Did you have to take the pump apart or did you order a new one?

Thanks Bill

I from another post you already tried replacement and it failed
