18 Vega Touch issue

First issue, auto gen set to on, gen will start when shore power present.
Second...No auto gen... ac on, power mgt shuts down all 3, insufficient power message!
Third..just electric hot water on..shuts down insufficient power.

When these conditions occur, Vega Touch changes from shore power to inverter power...yet ac fans still are on..
The 18s have an override for a/c feature. The a/Cs run fine when activated this way, Vega Touch still reflects inverter “on”!
Progressive industries surge protector shows all ok at post!
Waiting for firefly support Monday am, but looking for suggestions from our forum!

Is this a new issue for you? Can we assume you’ve cycled the 12V power?

Yes, this is a new issue. Just left the mothership Wednesday, firefly did some work on Vegatouch while there too..not sure if related.

And yes, I am a Brobox groupie too...ha ha ha 12 volt reboot done !

Have you checked that everything is setup right on the options screen. I’m sorry if you already know this but put your finger on the ? button until the Vegatouch splash screen shows up and then (one at a time) touch all four corners of the graphic. If you do it right you should be taken to the setup page where you’ll find an options button on the left.

I’m not at my coach right now so I can’t review the options, but this is a starting point for some things to check including 2017 versus 2018 and your floor plan.

Similar problem w/ AC's. I couldn't control them w/the Vega touch. I used the AC override switches until I talked w/ Firefly. I pushed the lower right on the Vega touch screen and accessed the screen that showed current software versions. It showed no connection to the Creston. Firefly had me reboot the Creston device by pulling it's power cord. It worked. Problem occurred when we tried to start the gen set while traveling from the Vege touch panel.

Thanks Dan, I had that issue earlier too, iPhone app not working, reboot worked then... but that is not the issue today.

Update! Spoke with Firefly today. Knew of this issue...indicated that the problem is communication between transfer switch and Vegatouch. Transfer switch not telling Vegatouch there is power. Could be a bad connection or the board in the transfer switch is bad.

We have had issue #1 with the generator starting under AGS settings when we have perfectly good shore power. I could duplicate the issue but not consistently. What version of VT are you running? We have V18 with outboard version 25 and crestron 2v1b. Firefly had us re-install the outboard version again last week but I haven't had a chance to test out the AGS again since then.

Ditto, we are having similar issues with the air conditioners and insufficient power messages. We are at the Octoberfest and having this issue looked at. Still waiting for a final verdict but appears to be the communications between the transfer switch and vega touch. Waiting for the tech to contact Entegra to determine the routing of the cables to the vega touch panel to see where an intermittant connection may occur. Original thoughts were it may be the transfer switch but that looks OK. I will post the final determination as it appears I am not the only one with this problem.

In our case it was not the communication cable from the transfer switch but a very loose ground wire in the G6A Control Panel over the door. It was tightened and so far everything seems to work. That ground as explained to me by Ted Cook affects everything Vega Touch. There was also a pin not seated in the connector plug that caused heat pump #1 not to work. Came from the factory that way. There is reportedly a board in the control panel that can also go bad.
