2011 aspire Opinions

Hello everyone, I need your help and opinions. I currently own a 2006 TS 45ft select on the K2 chassis, I did have the factory update Xbracing but continue to flex and crack windows. I am looking at a new 2011 43' aspire on a freightliner chassis. I have yet to test drive it, that is on the agenda after Christmas. Did they do the Xbracing on the freightliner? If so does it go into the front and rear cap? Have they had flexing issues with the FL. chassis? What common or uncommon issues have they had with the Aspire? Is there a concern with the rear radiator? Have they come close to topping out the cargo carrying capacity and towing ability of the chassis just with empty coach? Why did they switch back to spartan? Do you think 190k sounds reasonable? That should be enough questions to get me started in my research.

You might find new 13 Aspire w/ Spartan chassis at somewhere $220-$236K. MHSRV.com has that as their internet price and I think you can do a little better, maybe, with thm, RVOne, or lazy Days as they all compete pretty hard to be the biggest Entegra dealer.

Given those numbers, $190K sounds a little high, but you don't indicate milage. If the resale is that good, it does speak to Entegras holding their value pretty well.

X bracing was on the FL chassis as well. Due to the weakness inb the FL they also added some additional vertical Z bracing at the rear. The FL does flex more than the Spartan.

Rear radiators work but they aren't as good as a side radiator. They are much easier to plug up with dirt than a side rad, which has better cooling.

Personally, I'd look at a newer Aspire on the Spartan. You'll get a 450 ISL, side radiator, greater front axle capacity, a better chassis, and also the improvements made to the newer units. At that price the savings aren't significant enough to warrant looking at the FL based unit.

rv, PLEASE drive it for several miles IF you are serious about this coach. It will ride good but not as good as the IFS and likely not as good as your Travel Supreme. After having a select, I would really urge you to strongly consider the Anthem for your next coach rather than the Aspire, I think you will be happier in the long run, even with the added cost considered. Just my opinion and experience moving from a 2007 Alante to an Anthem.

I agree with Mark and Gene. Go with a newer Aspire, or if budget allows an Anthem. Good luck.

No issues here on 40DRQ 2011 model and has x-bracing.
Simply love it ! Out for a 4 day weekend, home away from home.
