Very possible! Just passing on what our tour guide told us. Then again he didn't even know about the new pantry in the RBQ and I stumped hm on a few other questions. He did know a lot about the caramel/cinnamon donuts at Rise n Roll though! I guess we will know for sure in a few weeks when we pick up our rig!

FWIW, just got back from our pre-sale inspection and the RBQ wardrobe closet doors definitely do have the snubbers/pneumatic locks. When the engine was running I released the brake and then had DW check all four of the doors (one main cabin to bed, one bed to bath, two wardrobe) - none will move. Set the brake and all move freely. Can see the snubber beneath the front bottom of the door - a grayish bumper about 1-1/2" in diameter. The four doors with snubbers are all pocket doors (hung from the top, no bottom track). Aren't the DEQ closet doors sliders with a bottom track? That might explain the difference?

I hope that we are only talking about pocket doors here. Pneumatic locks on pocket doors. I do know that I can open and close all doors except the pocket door without trans/brake engaged.

It seems to me based on some of the prior replys besides AHALL that this is something going on with their w/d, closet, bathroom doors also.

Not to say that mine might not be working properly now. In my conversations this week with customer service, I will check with them.

Doors

Verrrry Interrrresting

Our 2013 Aspire DEQ has pneumatic door locks on the bathroom hallway but not the back closet. I don't know if this was added after our was assembled in Jul12 or if the Aspire DEQ is different than the rest. I suspect the Anthem and Cornerstones have pneumatic locks on everything except the toilet seat.

So does this mean the bathroom can not be used while it's being driven down the road?

Hi Entegra Friends,

Here's some more...our experience,
2013 Aspire 42RBQ.
In the one picture is worth a
1,000 words category:

Door snubber in
bedroom closet
pocket door.

As well, these coaches
are superbly built by
dedicated, talented
crafts people.
But stuff happens.
Driving home on the
interstate from new
delivery pick-up at
the dealer, the
right bedroom pocket
door (which was opened
~ six inches at the time)
decided to fall off its
mounting hardware
and deeply gouge the
wood extensively on
the exposed screws that
line the interior of the
pocket door housing.

Once again, this is
an uncommon company
that is unsurpassed
in its commitment to
remarkable customer service.
One phone call to Joyce Skinner,
Entegra's brilliant Director
of Customer Service
got things rolling...a new door
manufactured, date scheduled
for factory-reinstallation,
professionally fixed and
back in business again
better than new.
You can probably
tell we are very
impressed with
Entegra and their
dedication to building
great motorcoaches
and life-long customers.
As Paul Harvey
used to say:
"And now you
know...the
rest of the story!"
Good Day !!

The 2013 Anthem DEQ bathroom can definitely be used going down the road, assuming you don't close the doors to the hall leading to the bath. Can't speak to other models.

However, the lid was not up...may have been pneumatically locked down...I'll never tell.

Ours has these....been to the factory twice had them glued back on and are off again. Another poor design.

To clarify,*Only* pocket doors have snubbers (like the one shown in the photo in the previous posts). Pocket doors slide into a cavity in the wall and ride on a track at the top - there is no track at the bottom. When a pocket door is "open" it is completely hidden from sight except for the edge.

Any other doors that have hinges *do not* have snubbers.

Any other doors that slide (ride on a track top and bottom) *do not* have snubbers.

On the RBQ the half bath door is on a hinge and does not have a snubber.

If your bathroom door is on a hinge it can be opened at any time.

According to the floorplan the back closet doors on the DEQ are "sliders" and therefore do not have a snubber.

X2. Looked yesterday after reading this thread several times. DEQ closet doors have a plastic hook connection to keep them closed, but can be opened while on the road. Our passenger side closet door actually rattles a little on rough road, suggesting is is a little loose and nothing is "snugging" it down.

The DEQ bath doors have latches that move into a hole in the rail when released at the closed and completely open end of the track. Will not move without using the built in latch. Dour to toilet is on hinge with latch as observed earlier.

I think the confusion is (and we checked our notes on this) that we were told in delivery that there are "snubbers" that engage when the engine is started. Same for the entry door. I also recall the salesperson telling this to us as well. Sometimes you have to wonder where they pick up this stuff!
