2013 Cornerstone

Just purchased a new Cornerstone and it rides like a dream. This is the first MH for my family. The only problem are the front slides squeak (like rubber rubbing against rubber) during travel. Has anyone encountered this issue? Will lubing the rubber seal help?

I believe based on my experience that lubing may fix this. Also Joyce Skinner at Entegra Coach tells me they will take a look at mine when I visit in July. I believe they have a fix for this issue.

I experience this too. My Anthem is currently at the factory getting the punch list completed. That issue was one of the items on the list. I'll give you my feedback on the fix in a week or two.

Congratulations on the new Cornerstone, I have one on order that is about 3+/- months out. Keep us posted as time goes by, not too many of the new Cornerstones out there so sharing whatever you run across would be great...

I guess that is a common problem with Entegra's. I have the same problem with the Driver side slide on my new Aspire. I tried everything and it got so bad on the last trip i called Entegra on the road. When I returned home Entegra jumped right on it with a local RV company that agreed to perform the service (note not everyone will work on an Entegra and the Jayco dealer network is few and far in between when it comes to the Entegra product line). We had to jointly find a facility. It has been in for a week and i expect to get it back in a few more days because Spartan also had a recall on the brake chambers so the RV center is also performing that service for Spartan. The joys of MH life!
Kudos to Entegra Customer Service, they wanted my small punch list fixed and they did not want to inconvience me to drive any distances to get it fixed. They worked with me to find a facility 15 miles away and Customer Service is directing the facility. I will keep you posted on the results. Congratulations on the new Cornerstone!

I had mine looked at at Lazydays and after talking to Entegra, decided that the trim piece around the opening needs to be attached better. All I know is it will drive you nuts after a couple states.

Is the squeaking you are talking about an occasional thing when you hit bumps? I've noticed a type of rubbing sound from the front slides every now and then.

Of more concern/annoyance is the driver's side window (the one with the smaller sliding window on the bottom). When it's warmer and the sun shines on that side of the coach the window frame creaks on every bump. The noise is coming from the larger upper portion of the window group. I'm sure it's an expansion contraction issue on the inner metal rim but it's very annoying. Anyone else have this issue? If so were you able to stop it?

Thanks.

I've had the same issue and thought it was the window, sure sounded like it but turned out to be the top front edge of the drivers side slide trim. With the slide out, look up at the top of the gasket where the edge of the slide contacts. If you see a little white mark that's from rubbing and that's the culprit. It seems to me if you look at the slide that the top goes in just a little further than the bottom, say a 1/4" or less but the slide trim does make contact up there. I put just a little dab of grease on the contact point and the squeak was gone. The grease is only a temp solution to verify the sound is coming from that point because once it rubs long enough the grease moves out and the squeak comes back. I've had it on the drivers side and passenger side with the passenger side being the worst. I'll wait to take it to Entegra to find out what their fix is. I've got my own ideas but I'd rather hear theirs first.

Thanks for your response Terry. Next time I am at the coach I'll take a look. Based on where the sound is coming from it certainly could be the slide's upper front area. The quest for the perfect ride with zero noises continues! Somehow I'm afraid it's a never ending quest short of buying something like a Newell or Prevost. I wonder if those coaches truly offer a noise free ride. At seven figures, I'll never be finding out

Did Entegra and Lazydays fix the trim piece and did it correct the problem? Mine is in with the same symptons and i always thought it was the frame flexing. I could drive and put my hand on the DS wall and feel movement inside the frame. You may have just shed some light on my problem. Thanks

I had the window noise rvguy. When I had it at the factory they seemed to know just what the problem was and I THINK they replaced either the window or the gasket around it, either way they fixed it last year and has been quiet ever since.
