2014 Anthem and Rand McNally

Has anyone been able to get their address book and fuel logs to transfer to the new SIM card, 8 gig, from the old card? If so how? I hate to lose over two years worth of data. Thanks in advance.

I did not have fuel logs to transfer, but I did have an extensive address book and multiple large POI files (low bridges, rest areas, Starbucks etc.).

Here's what I did. Once I was sure the 8 GB card was working fine I removed the card and loaded it on my desktop. Then, using the Rand McNally Dock program, used the "Restore My Data" function. It will have multiple restore points (sort of like a time machine). Pick the most recent time that predates your 8GB update and restore.

If I recall correctly, the first time I ran it back in the GPS unit, it required a reboot. All was well after that.

That procedure worked for me too. To get all your most recent info, if you still have your 4GB card, first do a "Backup My Data" from the Dock program, then restore to the 8GB card as per hawguy's procedure.

I had to enter the fuel log manually. I saved it from the program, in excel spreadsheet format, and then just added it back in. Everything else I had to do copy and paste. Would not take data from back up. Also multi stop trip that was programmed in did not transfer. Had to reprogram anything I had going forward. Not a big issue. The history file had all the previous points so life is good.
